I teach private yoga classes in my studio in Kensington London, or in the comfort of your own home, wherever you might live in London. I have trained in different styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Ashtanga & Hatha and use different tools depending on your goals. Teacher to student is the traditional way to learn yoga. It is a great way to start as a beginner, who may find attending a group class daunting, private yoga classes allow the student to ask plenty of questions, and means there is little chance of injury. It is also great for an itermediate student who may have specific goals that he/she is working towards, or be best for someone with an injury or specific issues which makes attending a group class difficult. It is also ideal for someone with a very busy life, who may not find it convenient to get to a class, as private yoga classes are designed to fit around your schedule.
Pregnancy, Post Natal & Baby Yoga in London
Pregnancy is a wonderful time to start yoga or to continue with an already established practice, it is a safe form of exercise during this time. Yoga for pregnancy keeps the body fit and strong, wards off aches and pains, teaches you to use the breath for labour and gives you time in your busy life to connect with your un-born baby.
Yoga during the post-natal period helps you to re-gain strength in the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, eases out tension that may accumulate from carrying and feeding your little one and gives you time to do something for yourself.
Baby yoga is a wonderfully bonding hour long class. You will learn specific postures which help with digestion, colic and sleep and discover news ways to hold your baby while keeping comfortable and maintaining a good posture. Although movement and flexibility come naturally to babies, with an increasing amount of time being spent in buggies, babies do not always receive the amount of movement and stimulation that they desire. After class babies tend to feed well and sleep well.
The benefit of having private yoga classes during pregnancy and the post-natal period are that the classes can fit around your schedule and will be created to fit your needs.
